"Mahboula" means "mad" in Algerian arabic. Based upon a text about (not) being mad as a female artist from North Africa, it mixes up vocal improvisations in French, English, Arabic and invented languages, made and recorded in different places and times. This spoken+sung word piece is conceived as a multi-layered, afrofuturist spell for liberated times, people and places.

Thumping, pulsing industrial techno with dark & edgy ambience. I love the distorted metal-like vocal elements. If they remade Akira, this release would be a perfect score! PadraigC

Suspenseful and Eerie. Each track tells a story. Spirits haunting a boneyard and aliens scanning the wreckage of a battlefield are just some.of the images brought to mind. Michael
